Dealing with a loved one’s passing is difficult. That’s why we strive to do everything we can to lighten your load as we help you plan for the spreading of cremated remains. We will work directly with family members or their authorized representatives to determine the time and place for your departed loved one to be transported to their final destination. We also offer pre-arrangement packages that take care of all the decision-making now so it doesn’t need to be done during stressful and emotional times.

We adhere to strict chain of custody protocols throughout the process. From funeral home to family to us and then their final destination, you will always know exactly where your loved one’s ashes are and that they are being handled with the respect and dignity they deserve.

EXPERIENCED RETIRED U.S. NAVY PILOT
Our pilot, Randy Tashjian, served 25 years as a U.S. Naval Aviator and is a retired U.S. Navy Captain. He has over 10,000 flight hours and holds an Airline Transport Pilot certification, Certified Flight Instructor (Instrument and Multi-engine) and over 3,200 hours in the FA-18 Hornet. He is the most experienced ash-dispersal pilot in the state of California, in addition, his experience as a Casualty Assistance Calls Officer (CACO) helping families who lost a loved one in the Military gives him an exceptional depth of experience and insight for providing the dignity and respect the deceased and their family deserves.

Dignified Destinations owns and has access to multiple planes at all times. Unlike other services that have long waiting lists and can require putting your loved one’s ashes in storage as you wait, you get our immediate attention and quick scheduling at your convenience.

SPECIALLY LICENSED/EQUIPPED
In addition to more than 40 years of aviation experience, Randy is specially licensed by the state of California for the spreading of ashes over land or sea. He uses highly specialized equipment designed specifically for aerial spreading of ashes from their own Beechcraft Bonanza. This is a far superior dispersal system to any other service provider in the western states. They will deliver precise placement in accordance with the loved ones desires.
Please note: We are not able to carry passengers in the plane, however, we can schedule to release the ashes during a specific time and place so that loved ones can be there to watch from the ground and celebrate in this final graceful transition.
Destinations
We are able to spread ashes anywhere in the state of California (according to state laws) including Northern, Southern California, the Sierra Nevadas, and along the beautiful California coastline in the Pacific Ocean. If you have a specific area you’d like to inquire about, please contact us and we will endeavor to fulfill your request. Please note that all aerial scatterings at sea must be 3 miles offshore and all land scatterings must be over areas where permission has been granted. Please contact us regarding your desired destination.
Packages
Affordable Pricing:
Basic Aerial Ash Dispersal:
- $650 for dispersal flights in the San Diego area.
- Scatter sites outside this area are priced according to distance. Please contact us for a quote. We can scatter anywhere in the state of California.
- Loved ones will be notified once the service is complete and will receive a certificate with the date and location of the dispersal.
- Popular Aerial Scattering Destinations Include:
- California Coast Line: San Francisco, Monterey, Santa Barbara, San Diego and many, many more beautiful coastal areas
- Sierra Nevada Mountains or the surrounding Foothills
Additional services/fees:
- Destination/Time specific: Additional $500 if the loved ones would like to designate a specific date, time, location and/or be present for the dispersal.
