Sometimes life can put you in a bit of a predicament, and it takes something special to find the answer. For one special client of our, this happened as she found herself the guardian of the cremated remains of not one, not two, but THREE family members.
These had come to her responsibility through the years, but she’s never been quite sure of what to do with them. All three of them had expressed the desire for their remains to be spread over their beloved family ranch, but she had been unable to find a professional who could help them. And so for a period of several years the deceased’s ashes remained in storage until a solution could be found.
When our client came to us with her idea for spreading the ashes of her loved ones over the family ranch, we couldn’t have been more touched. Randy, our pilot and co-owner of Dignified Destinations, has a long history of helping surviving family members cope with the loss of loved ones and was deeply touched at this opportunity to help a family find closure after so long.
Randy carefully designed a device for safe and effective ash dispersal from his aircraft. He and Karen, his wife and co-owner, scheduled the ceremony for a beautiful, clear day when the family could gather together in honor of these three deceased family members. They watched from the ground as Randy flew over the family ranch, gracefully spreading the deceased family members’ ashes over the family ranch in a tasteful memorial ceremony as the family looked on. And rejoiced as they realized that what could have been a sad event has been turned into a wonderful celebration of life.
